Description:
Position responsibilities include:
Design and build of Docker Imagefiles
Assist application teams with conversion of existing application to Docker images/containers
Build and maintenance of Docker clusters for development and production environments
Build Environments to business specifications
Proactive system monitoring functions, real-time responses, and performance tuning
Efficient in building RPMs on Linux OS
Perform root cause & system log analysis
Maintain operational support and related system documentation
Trouble ticket research, troubleshooting, and resolution
Ability to work on multiple initiatives outside the scope of the day to day activities
Provide 24/7 application support to production and lower environments
Effectively report issues, risks, and timely status to the team
Qualifications:
5+ year experience with Unix OS especially Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
5+ year experience with scripting languages including but not limited to bash shell.
Experience with Docker Image creation (compose, Dockerfile, image creation/deployment, etc)
Experience with Docker Production Orchestration
Familiarity with middleware technologies such as IBM WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, and/or Siteminder preferred.
Familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence
System performance tuning and monitoring
Trouble ticket research, troubleshooting to include resolution
Symantec ESM 6.5
