Role: Sr Salesforce Administrator/ Developer
Location: Redwood City, CA
Duration: 6 months +

Overview:

SFDC Administrator:
The SFDC Administrator should understand the features and functionality used to maintain the platform. The administrator will be engaged in updating the organizational information (1), creating and maintaining users (2), controlling/enabling security and access (3 – Apttus PS will assist in setting up the main structure for the project The admin also needs to understand the Data/Object Model in order to advise/adjust for reporting needs (4), be aware of data import/export options as well as tools that can be used (5), be proficient in SFDC automation using workflows/processes for creating/reviewing/updating the workflow (6)

1. ORGANIZATION SETUP
a. Describe the information found in the company profile
b. Distinguish between the various UI features that an administrator controls, including the implications
2. USER SETUP
a. Identify the steps to set up and/or maintain a user
b. Understand the implications of activating, deactivating, or freezing a user.
c. Administration of Queues
3. SECURITY AND ACCESS
a. Explain the various organization security controls
b. Given a user request scenario, apply the appropriate security controls based on the features and capabilities of the Salesforce sharing model
c. Given a scenario, determine the appropriate use of a custom profile or permission set using the various profile settings and permissions
d. Describe how folders can be used to organize and secure communication templates, dashboards, reports, and documents.
4. STANDARD AND CUSTOM OBJECTS
a. Describe the standard object architecture and relationship model
b. Explain how to create, delete, and customize fields and page layouts on standard and custom objects, and understand the implications of deleting fields
c. Given a scenario, determine how to create and assign page layouts, record types and business processes for custom and standard objects.
5. DATA MANAGEMENT
a. Describe the considerations when importing, updating, transferring, and mass deleting data
b. Given a scenario, identify tools and use cases for managing data
c. Describe the capabilities and implications of data validation tools.
d. Describe the different ways to back up data
e. Describe the options available when creating or customizing a report
f. Describe the impact of the sharing model on reports.
g. Describe the options available when creating and modifying dashboards
h. Describe the capabilities of custom report types.
6. WORKFLOW/PROCESS AUTOMATION
a. Given a scenario, identify the appropriate automation solution based on
b. the capabilities of workflow/process.
c. Describe capabilities and use cases for the approval process.

APTTUS Administrator:
The Apttus Admin should understand the Data Model (Standard and Custom objects) and the Contract Lifecycle (as per OOTB Apttus functionality A combination of these areas allows the Apttus Admin to make modifications to the process/workflow of the solution. More importantly, the admin can assist business users to create/adjust reporting functionality to meet business needs (2 Further, there are skills needed to create or make changes to Apttus templates, for which the admin needs to be aware of standard MS Word functionality as well as the markup language and best practices on template management used by Apttus (3 Besides that, the admin needs to be able to enable users for the Apttus CLM solution (1) and also make changes to the Approval setup/routing (4

a. Administration of Word templates (Check-in/Check-out of templates)

a. Setup and administration of Apttus Advanced Approvals
b. Approval Rules and Matrices
c. Email templates and notifications
