MDM Project Manager with Product MDM Expertise

Location: North Andover, MA

Duration: FULL TIME

As Master Data Management subject matter expert on our Global BI Team, lead projects to harmonize and improve quality of Watts’ product and customer master data at a global level to drive significant operational and strategic improvements.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Initiate and facilitate discussions between different business functions, balance conflicting viewpoints, and achieve consensus with key business stakeholders.
Develop requirements documentation to support MDM initiatives, and provide input to MDM technical team to support IT development activities
Set development priorities and timelines and monitor and report on progress
Act as liaison between key business stakeholders and technical team to support all MDM initiatives.
Lead teams of IT and business resources during MDM testing initiatives to support successful MDM implementations
Proactively identify opportunities to improve quality of master data through governance and technology. Help define and drive global data governance processes
Measure effectiveness of MDM initiatives throughout the enterprise by defining and reporting on KPIs that help ensure cross-team processes are efficient and master data is consistent, accurate, and compliant across applications
Contribute to development of BI roadmap from MDM perspective
Act as data evangelist and help inspire and foster recognition of the business value of trusted data across the enterprise. Help generate excitement about the possibilities!

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree a plus

MANAGEMENT/SUPERVISON:
No Direct Reports

QUALIFICATIONS:
12+ years overall data-centric experience on either business or IT side with:
o 8+ years of Project management experience working closely with both business and IT resources
o 5+ years of experience acting as SME on MDM implementations – ideally, at a manufacturing company
Demonstrated experience developing business requirements and business cases for MDM systems and ability to distill complex business requirements , and then effectively communicate those to IT resources
Solid knowledge of end-to-end processes for maintaining product and/or customer master data across the enterprise
Ability to rationalize existing vocabularies to help break down silos and establish a common business vocabulary.
Ability to partner and influence business leaders and IT colleagues
Solid change management skills
Ability to understand organizational data requirements and define, clearly articulate, and drive plan to provide accurate master data that meets Watts’ objectives
Ability to identify the root cause of data quality issues and partner with business stakeholders to resolve.
Solid business acumen and ERP knowledge with manufacturing experience
Excellent problem-solving skills with strong track record of producing analytic insight that has led to significant data quality improvements
Experience with MDM tools such as IBM InfoSphere MDM or Informatica MDM
Very strong oral and written communications skills
