What is this position about?
This position is focused on our desire to take the original clients idea and newly developed platform to a production environment. We are eager to connect with a contractor who can help us implement a process for the continual care and feeding of the existing system, maintain an agile SDLC and support a SaaS business model and infrastructure.
The developer will be responsible for maintaining, writing and deploying new and existing features to the various development, testing and production environments.
As our developer, you will be our first long-term contractor beyond the initial founding team and contracted developers that have deployed the first MVP and staging platform.
This role will work closely with the founder, original system developer and future marketing/sales support teams. This position requires a self-motivated employee who has a strong passion for improving customer experiences and a drive for efficiency and process improvement.
We are currently looking for a combination of the following skill sets:
Developer Needs: Django Developers and HTML & CSS
Django : Strong working knowledge and experience building frameworks with DRF (Django Rest Framework
Python framework
Restful API’s
AWS administrator; elastic beanstalk. RDS, S3
React Developer : Aesthetic changes and deployment of the REACT bundle. There is a tight coupling with Django and React with our current platform
API’s (RESTFUL, GET, Post, PUT, Delete)
ANT Design is used for all the front end React framework, using ANT design. (ant.design)
Location: Boston/Cambridge, MA, USA
Telecommuting OK - Must reside in the greater Boston, MA area.
Skills:
Django (DRF) (+3 years of experience)
AWS Administrator, RDS, S3, beanstalk, EC2.
Restful API’s
Experience with React/Redux
Strong CSS & HTML appreciated * Agile Development
Git
Test Driven Development (TDD)
