Job Description :

The Engineer will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of UNIX, Linux, and Solaris operating systems. The Engineer will work to troubleshoot production issues and/or problems that involve applications and the network. The Engineer will be responsible for administrative tasks such as provisioning of services, monitoring, upgrading hardware and software, as well as configuration management.
The consultant will be responsible for installing new or rebuilding existing servers. The Engineer will be responsible for packaging and patch management. The Engineer will also perform technical evaluations, analysis and troubleshooting for all supported servers in response to help desk tickets including both failures and outages.
Required Skills:
7-10 years’ experience as a Systems Engineer/Administrator
Some DevOps experience or Build/Release experience
Strong experience designing, building and troubleshooting Red Hat Linux, UNIX, and Solaris operating systems
Strong virtualization experience and hands-on skills with both Red Hat Virtualization and VMware
Strong experience with Ansible
Experience with both build and configuration management as well as patch management experience
Experience provisioning services, monitoring, as well as upgrading hardware and software
Desired Skills:
Any certifications are a plus – RHEL, Solaris, etc
Automation tools like Chef and Puppet
OpenStack experience
