Role Description:

eDataForce Consulting LLC is seeking a Devops Release Manager in Washington D.C

Develops scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms.
Work with release engineers to understand impacts of branches and code merges.
Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment plans and checklists.
Manage changes to the process, this includes reviewing and approving all proposed changes and communicating changes to all the participants and affected areas.
Establish and communicate the process, service levels, process metrics and process performance metrics.
Identify opportunities for improvement and drive continuous process improvements.

Skills/Experience:
3 years leading DevOps experience with good leadership skills.
5 years of previous release management experience.
Experience in developing scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms (Ansible, Chef, Puppet
Strong technical understanding of enterprise application technology architecture, components, databases, networking.
Experience working in an Agile software development environment and strong understanding of SDLC best practices.
Knowledge of custom software, 3rd party integration program.
Experienced in transition from development stage to support and production readiness.
Proven experience in supporting complex environment upgrades and release deployment encompassing Application, Infrastructure and 3rd party packages.
Knowledge of configuration & release management processes.
Ability to propose alternative approaches to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Technical knowledge of Linux, Windows, release tools, configuration management tools.
Knowledge of ITIL processes
Strong experience in managing and driving releases using Agile principles.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion.
Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills.
Smart, driven and problem solver.
Excellent communication skills and can collaborate well with peers and business users.
Possess good interpersonal skills for written, oral and face-to-face communications.
Priority in delivering quality software.
Ability and willingness to work outside normal business hours and on-call.
Strong AWS knowledge is helpful.
