Role: Devops Engineer
Location: Charlotte, NC

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Manage AWS services (EC2, Cloudtrail, IAM, Config, cloudwatch, S3, Lambda) via CLI and API within a multi account production environment
Ensure monitoring alerts and systems events are assessed, prioritized, and managed
Manage security, operations and governance on cloud platform/ technologies
Responsible for operations of Cloud service infrastructure, monitoring, and capacity management of proprietary Cloud based platform systems at web scale in a fully virtualized Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) operating environment
Develop and report KPI’s to insure SLAs are met
Monitor and identify capacity and performance issues for cloud services to ensure continued, uninterrupted operations
Partner with and collaboratively drive accountability with internal team and vendors
Anticipate technology changes within a rapidly evolving environment
Manage client impacting incidents including business impact assessment, technical resolution, engagement, and communications
Assure Operations Run Book and other knowledge management documents are up to date
Contribute to the evaluation and implementation of monitoring tools for the cloud platform
Build and maintain strong relationships with broader technology teams, business aligned teams and business partners to identify process improvement opportunities
Drive continuous improvement of services and processes in order to increase platform stability and realize operational efficiencies
Required Experience:
Undergraduate degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field of study
Seven or more years of technology experience
Two or more years of Amazon AWS Cloud products (EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda, ECS, RDS, DynamoDB, EMR, Kinesis, SQS/SNS, etc experience
Hands on experience with Jenkins, Docker, Terraform or similar technologies
Infrastructure production and/or operational support background
Very strong troubleshooting and incident management skills within cloud environments (AWS, Azure, VMWare etc
Understanding AWS architectures and design principles
Understanding of server-less code concepts
Docker, Kubernetes, containers and related technologies
Experience with shell scripting, Puppet/Ansible, and automation principles
Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD processes preferred
Five or more years of Red Hat Linux, Windows, Networking, and/or storage management experience preferred
Microsoft Azure cloud products and support experience preferred
Cloudforms and OpenShift experience preferred
Oracle, MYSQL, Python, NodeJS, nginx, & tomcat experience preferred
