We have the below role open for Devops with our direct end customer in Austin TX or 100% remote for the right candidate for long term contract.

Primary responsibility:

Seeks an experienced software engineer with a DevOps mindset to complete the transformation of our legacy documentation tools onto a modern cloud orchestration platform. You will architect and implement code for the continuous integration and delivery of Deconst in OpenShift - which enables the CI/CD documentation. After the focus on stability and security in OpenShift, there is an opportunity to add innovative features and capabilities in Deconstthat have a broad impact.

Knowledge/skills/abilities:
You must be a self-starter that consistently takes initiative and manages your own work to completion.
You have successfully automated and orchestrated multiple workloads on at least one public cloud provider.
You are able to collaborate across teams to make informed software architecture decisions.
You write code that satisfies project and business requirements.
You follow TDD (or similar) and Agile methodologies.
You explain highly technical scenarios and systems to less-technical colleagues with success.

An ideal candidate will have:
Significant, demonstrated success with:
Architecting and implementing the transformation of legacy (e.g., non-cloud) applications in OpenShift (preferred) and/or Kubernetes.
Building distributed, highly-available applications in the cloud.
Architecting and coding the continuous integration and continuous delivery of mediumto large-scale projects.
Delivering working, peer-reviewed code in a dynamic, geographically distributed team environment.
Using excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate across business and functional areas.
Configuration, management, and troubleshooting of common web servers, databases, load balancers, and firewalls.

Strong knowledge of and proficiency with many of these tools and technologies:
OpenShift
Kubernetes
Helm
Jenkins
Git, GitHub
Linux, storage, networking, security
An automation framework such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
Elasticsearch
MongoDB
Proficiency with some of these programming languages:
Python
Groovy
NodeJS
JavaScript
Shell
A mark-up language such as Markdown, RST, or AsciiDoc
Experience working with and contributing to open source projects.

Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in a technology-related field. Experience may substitute for the degree requirement at a ratio of 3 years of experience for each year of education.
At least 2 years professional experience in DevOps engineering.
At least 5 years professional experience in software development.
A technical certification in a public cloud platform such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. Demonstrable projects may substitute for the certification requirement.
