Job Description & Responsibilities: Principal Duties and Responsibilities
The specific focus for the AWS DevOps Architect is on automation and optimization of the development and platform management lifecycle, including:
Architecture experience with AWS multi-region, multi-datacenter configuration
AWS Capacity Planning (Server, storage, network)
AWS DNS and Loadbalancer architecture – traffic routing
Experience with 99.999 architecture, maximum availability architecture
Experience with Oracle WebLogic deployment on AWS
Participate in Architecture Review sessions
Build tools for deployment, monitoring and operations. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our development, test and production environments.
Stay up-to-date on relevant technologies, plug into user groups, and understand trends and opportunities to ensure we are using the best possible techniques and tools.
Understand, implement, and automate security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation.
Design, manage, and maintain tools to automate operational processes.
Great understanding of cloud & enterprise technologies.
Qualifications and Experiences:
Strong background in Linux/Unix administration and scripting.
Experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, API Gateway, Kinesis, Data pipeline/Glue, Lambda)
Experience with AWS Services Access Management (Users, Roles, Policies)
Experience in development of automation tools with popular scripting languages. Python is preferred.
Experience with AWS deployment using CLI and Jenkins Build Processes.
Experience with automation and testing via scripting/programming (Unit testing, Functional Testing, Regression Testing
Experience with SDLC tools subversion, GIT, JIRA, confluence, Jenkins.
Source, build/release, and configuration management in a continuous integration & delivery environment.
Automation experience in building dashboards for monitoring the deployed services.
Understanding of Agile and other development processes and methodologies.
