DevOps Specialist with BRMS, Python, EAP, SOA
Long term contract
Reston, VA
Rate: 50/hr Maximum
This role requires a Client Public Trust clearance for which the individual
must have lived in the US 3 of the last 5 years.
Role Description/Responsibilities:
Support existing BRMS toolset platform, hosted in AWS and
backed to an enterprise instance of GitHub.
Support existing implementation of EAP and SOA-P application
server platforms.
Oversee, design, implement, and manage DevOps capabilities in
cloud offerings using CI/CD toolsets and automation.
Ensure DevOps systems built are robust in the sense they can
scale, handle rapid growth, and limit exposure to single points of failure
and security vulnerabilities.
Closely collaborate with software developers to enable rapid
deployment of solutions with ease.
Raise issues and risks to supervisors in a timely manner.
Required Skills:
Linux - P2 Proficient
Python - P1 Novice
BRMS - P2 - Proficient
EAP & SOA-P - P2 - Proficient
Well-Qualified Candidates Will Have:
Software development background
Familiarity with concepts such as continuous integration and
continuous delivery
Knowledge of Ansible
Understanding and familiarity with the fundamentals of UNIX
systems administration
BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
technical degree
Good problem solving skills, willingness to work with and
learn from others
Strong written and verbal communication skills
All candidates should have:
Proven ability to work independently and as a team member
Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
Eligibility to receive Federal Public Trust clearance
Established residency in the US for at least 3 of the last 5
years.
Candidates must be local to the Washington, D.C.
Metro/Northern VA area - travel will not be reimbursed.
