JOB DESCRIPTION (Duties):
Responsible for application platform security in all levels (with support from teammates), with a primary focus on infrastructure security Set-up and maintain "infrastructure as code" scripts: provision, build, deploy, etc. for AWS Cloud (using YAML, JSON, Cloud Formation, etc
Creates and maintains detailed documentation for complex processes
Manages changes to Web Application infrastructure above the application server, such as: Web Servers, Load Traffic Managers (F5), DNS, Firewalls, etc
Manage batch/cron/backup/restore functions of VMs, DBs, etc
Sets up and maintains Application Monitoring (Nagios, SiteScope, AWS monitoring, etc
Understands how to form relationships to obtain obscure information and how to follow-up on open tasks assigned to others
Responsible for load-balancing and dynamic server expansion
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Candidate must be capable of understanding large goals, break down those to tasks, and use effective communication to drive tasks to completion
Knowledge on moving application to AWS Cloud (more years of experience and more AWS tool skills the better)
Should have strong background in "infrastructure as code"
Understand standard Linux ways of forming external shared drives, file-mounts, and how to handle Linux security in general
Must be self-motivated
Can configure credential handling (KMS, SSH keys, or similar)
YAML knowledge (or similar)
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Jenkins job administration
Puppet/Docker
Active Directory / RACF / LDAP / Okta / OAUTH
GitHub (or Subversion, etc
XLDeploy (or similar)
