Title: DevOps Engineer
Location: Seattle, WA
Duration: 12+ Months
Interview: Telephonic and Skype.
Note: It is either or on Java or Scala, does not need to be both.
Basically, it is a new Java/Scala backend service team that will be doing its own DevOps.
What will you do:
Work with our corporate operations team to build and maintain new cloud instances and release processes for our Seattle-based service teams, maintaining and improving our build, building internal infrastructure and continuous integration systems to help with the efficiency of our build, development, and release process.
Develop and support CI/CD and automated testing solutions to meet the high-level requirements of our engineering teams
Strong demonstrated ability to work directly with technical leads, engineers, product managers and business stakeholders
Proven experience delivering performant and secure micro services at extremely large scale
Experience with Kubernetes and Docker and Application performance monitoring
Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Unix shell, and programing experience with Java or Scala
Comfortable with Linux internals and Linux packaging
Prior cloud experience / delivery of applications with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
Demonstrate a creative and innovation-driven ability to articulate engineering design patterns related to scale, performance, security, and usability

Basic Qualifications:
4+ years of progressive responsibilities in one or more of the following areas: software/web development, application delivery and a Bachelor’s degree; OR 10+ years’ of the same experience without a Bachelor’s degree
Experience in building and deploying production software using Cloud technologies like Kubernetes and Docker
Experience using Jenkins distributed over physical and virtual machines
Preferred Qualifications:
Agile development practical experience
Test-driven development, refactoring, automated unit test, integration test, functional test, and continuous integration / deployment. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
Experience using version control systems such as Git.
