2+ years working with puppet, chef, and other DevOps automation tools deployed in virtual environments 2+ years working with load balancers and databases (Oracle, MySQL, Couchbase, Elasticsearch, MongoDB) Expertise building system capacity models, logging and monitoring infrastructure (Dynatrace, Splunk) Expertise troubleshooting complex OS, database, network configuration, and applications server issues Unix GURU and proficient with at least one shell and high level scripting language (bash, perl, python) Maven rockstar; At ease with SVN and GIT Expertise with continuous delivery systems using GIT and Jenkins; define branching, tagging, and code merging strategies Understanding of packet sniffer tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, etc Strong understanding of both front-end and back-end web technologies (HTTP, AJAX, XML, JSON, CSS etc) Good understanding on application security; authentication, authorization, cryptography, etc. Influence architecture and design decisions; thread pools, caching policies, memory allocations, connection pooling, performance tuning etc. Evangelize DevOps best practices and mentor
