DevOps Engineer
Morgan Hill, CA

As an Engineering Contractor working with our Morgan Hill, CA office, we are looking for someone experienced designing, developing, and deploying critical applications in both on premise and cloud based environments. This role will help design and implement multiple delivery pipelines for emerging products. We need a problem solver who digs into a challenge and will thrive in a fast-paced Agile environment. Ideal candidate would be a technical leader who can share a vision and provide training for the devops team. This role will include interaction with Software Management, IT and Project Management and a strong communicator who can help create a roadmap.
Responsibilities include:
Work with senior leadership to develop the DevOps strategy and roadmap for R&D
Design and build automated deployments that simplify development, increase release confidence, ensure quality through automated testing, and provide safe fallback
Help train and lead the DevOps team from a technical perspective
Design, implement, detailed monitoring across the DevOps pipeline
Researching emerging technologies
Experience/Qualifications:
BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Experience in developing tools and automation frameworks for Operations.
Comfortable in coding (Experience in Python is a plus) and shell scripting.
Experienced in container technologies (Docker) and cluster managers like Kubernetes etc.
Experience in configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef etc
Comfortable with Linux like environments
Experienced in debugging and troubleshooting applications that are running in production.
Exposure to embedded systems, and continous deployment for them desired.
Linux, Unix, Shell Scripting, Splunk, netscaler, Ansible, Docker, Infrastructure operations, production support
Experience with Gitlab/Qt/Vivado a large plus
Plus if they have any Embedded systems experience and/or C++ understanding. AWS is also preferred.
