REQUIREMENT:
Project: DevOps Engineer
Location: Addison, TX
Duration: 6 -12 plus Months Contract to Hire
Rate Inclusive: US$ 60 – 65/hr. C2C OR 80 - 90K on W2.
Mode of Interview : Phone & Must do Face to Face Interview .
SPECIFIC SKILL SETS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
· Prior experience with job roles of Site Reliability Engineer and/or DevOps
· Experience in designing and implementing infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipeline for deployments of large-scale web applications.
· Managing large scale .Net Applications on IIS/Windows Platform (required)
· Deep understanding of web/API protocols (HTTP, REST, SOAP, etc and web-based architectures
· Strong understanding of programming concepts and development / scripting skills PowerShell (required) , Python, etc., with the ability to pick up any language quickly
· Experience with one or more of the common software configuration management tool such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt (preferred) , or Octopus (highly preferred) as well as automation orchestration tools such as Jenkins.
· Excellent troubleshooting skills
· Experience managing the SDLC of the automation code in a version control system such as Visual Studio and TFS or other version control systems
· Familiarity with load balancers such as F5 (preferred), DNS, and URL/URI redirects
· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
· Ability to participate in 24/7 on-call rotation and respond to mission-critical issues as needed
· Passion and drive to improve efficiencies in how we deliver IT services
SPECIFIC SKILL SETS PREFERRED/DESIRED, BUT NOT NECESSARILY REQUIRED:
· Experience with Linux is a big plus as we do have some Linux systems as well
· F5 load balancers
· API Gateway – Layer7 (or similar technologies)
· Microsoft IIS 7.0 – 8.0
· VMWare
· SCOM and Dynatrace monitoring tools
· Application Testing Tools – Selenium
· Experience designing and/or supporting NoSQL based applications based on Redis, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, etc.
· Experience with API management and associated tools
· Experience using and working with APM tools such as dynaTrace, Gomez, AppDynamics, Avicode
· Experience administering public and private certificates, proxy servers, and CDN
WHAT EXACTLY WILL THIS INDIVIDUAL BE WORKING ON?
They will be responsible to working closely with our application development teams to mature the automated deployment for us on premise web application environment (IIS/Sitecore/SQL Server/ElasticSearch/MongoDB/RabbitMQ They will analyze the current state of disparate deployment methodologies, tools, and processes and work with lead Architects to redesign and implement more robust and highly automated solution for application deployments. They will also help to provide escalation support to front line support team for the web environment.
