Job description:
Operational skills to design, implement, monitor and maintain large AWS environments (with considerations
for right-sizing, scalability, high-availability, security and disaster recovery)
· Deep hands-on experience with multiple tools & technologies in the AWS ecosystem
· Deep experience with Linux flavors and application stacks: PHP, Python, Java
· Experience with config/build/deploy automation tools: Ansible, Terraform
· Experience with containerization technologies: Docker, ECS/EKS, Kubernetes
You ideally have some of these other skills in your back-pocket:
· Experience handling migrations to cloud-based architectures from an on-prem infrastructure
· Experience handling migrations to a micro-services architecture from a monolithic application environment
· In-depth working knowledge of popular open-source tools & technologies
· Experience with CI/CD tools & processes
· Programming and/or scripting skills – may be some AWS Lambda?
· Databases – SQL, NoSQL, and any others in between
· Traditional systems and networks administration
· Holistic knowledge of implementing systems, network & cloud security
· Proven performance tuning and trouble-shooting skills
· Proven client / vendor interaction skills
· Good communications & documentation skills
