Essential Job Functions:
Define, implement and scale CI/CD solutions and processes for large enterprises
Provide vision, thought leadership and roadmap for implementing CI/CD practices across organization
Lead the technical decision making on configuration management, version control, build & release / deployment management and automation.
Identify and drive improvements in infrastructure, system reliability, performance, monitoring, and overall stability of the CI/CD platform.
Provide guidance and mentor project teams on how they can implement and adopt CI/CD practices.
Offer training and deliver custom workshops on CI/CD
Guide a team of DevOps engineers: create an internal environment of teamwork, sharing, and enthusiasm.
Required Skills:
Minimum 8 to 12 years of strong hands on experience using different tools for build automation, test automation, continuous integration/continuous delivery, release management, configuration management, application deployment, application monitoring, application support and maintenance
5 to 7 years of experience with installation and configuration of Continuous Integration/Continuous delivery tools such as Jenkins, Cloudbees Jenkins, Cruise control, Bamboo, Team city.
Ability to review deployment and operational environments, i.e., execute initiatives to reduce failure, troubleshoot issues across the entire infrastructure stack, expanding monitoring capabilities, and managing technical operations.
Strong exposure to SCM tools e.g. GIT, SVN, ClearCase, etc. and different branching merging strategies.
Excellent knowledge of applications relying on Maven/Ant/Gradle and MSBuild/NuGet.
Strong knowledge on code quality improvement and security testing like Veracode, SonarQube, etc.
Strong knowledge on log management tools like ELK/Splunk.
Strong knowledge on monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, Dynatrace, etc.
Strong exposure to deployment tools e.g. UrbanCode, XLDeploy ,etc.
Hand on experience in configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt Stack or similar in on premises and cloud environment
Extensive experience in scripting e.g. python, powershell, shell, bash, groovy etc.
Exposure to containerization tools and cluster management tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Apache Mesos Marathon.
Effective cross-functional leadership skills: working with engineering and operational teams to ensure systems are secure, scalable, and reliable.
