Desktop/Workstation Technician (2 Openings)
Location: New York, NY 10153
Duration: - 6 month contract to hire.
Job Duties
Professional appearance and excellent verbal and writing communication, and phone skills.
Provide user support on help desk on a variety of hardware and software applications for desktop workstations.
Maintain proper configuration of workstations and printers to the network.
Performing analytical, technical and administrative work in the planning, installation and support of new and existing desktop systems to include all peripherals.
Communicates with end users to determine needs and schedule work, and provides basic training on all hardware and some software.
Log all new and monitor service calls using the call tracking system.
Ability to accurately set priorities and stay on task, with little direct supervision required.
Install, configure and replace network and communication equipment as directed.
Coordinate with IT personnel, the purchase and installation of new workstations, printers and the relocation or removal of existing equipment.
Coordinate computer recycling/destruction process.
Uphold performance standards for friendly, courteous and caring interactions with physicians, managers, staff and colleagues.
Support team dynamics and contribute to a positive work environment.
Identify areas of concern and problem-solve constructively using all available resources.
Communicate accurately, timely and constructively.
Demonstrate knowledge of security and confidentiality of patient, departmental and corporate information.
Maintain safe work environment and work practices.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
