Job Description:
Reporting to the Manager of Global Client Engineering team, this position''s
primary responsibility is to help maintain and administer global endpoints
(laptop, desktop, mobile) and their corresponding management infrastructure.
In addition, this position will help drive adoptions of new technology and
implement Global Client Engineering systems to ensure uptime and daily
delivery of according to defined SLAs and domain security best practices.
This position will require experience and working knowledge of a broad set
of desktop engineering technologies including SCCM, Intune, Symantec AV,
Carbon Black Defense, Code42 endpoint backup, MBAM Encryption, Group Policy,
and programmatic Windows scripting. Operational portion of the role will
require endpoint provisioning and de-provisioning, systems automation via
scripting, systems configuration and documentation, software installation
and upgrades, technical support and troubleshooting, hardware builds and
standards definition, new features implementation as well as assess systems
utilization and performance tuning. A desired candidate will be able to
define problems to solve in order to improve the security and usability of
endpoint devices within established guidelines.
This position will work with the various application and infrastructure
support teams to better understand application requirements related to
desktop engineering and making recommendations and implementing support
processes. Help manage corporate endpoints and their supporting
infrastructure in a 7x24x52 worldwide infrastructure with multiple physical
sites.
Job Requirements: (Knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and education
required to perform job.
5+ years of advanced experience configuring computers powered by Windows
Operating systems in global enterprise environments.
5+ years of experience of desktop/laptop hardware configurations, driver
management, and troubleshooting.
3+ years of experience using SCCM to deploy software, endpoint
configurations, security updates and patches.
3+ years administering Microsoft Group Policy in a large enterprise
environment (10k+ endpoints
3+ years of experience with enterprise level provisioning processes
specifically Microsoft OSD, MDT, and/or Intune MDM. Experience with other
MDM products is helpful as well.
2+ years of experience writing scripts in shell, VBScript, and/or
PowerShell to retrofit, automate, tweak, administer or secure a Windows
desktop environment.
Proficiency with administration of current and emerging versions of
Microsoft Windows Operating systems including Windows 7, 8.1, and 10.
Proficiency with deploying and managing DLP, Anti-virus, encryption and
other security applications to end user laptops and desktops
Experience administering Macs or Casper/JAMF suite in a corporate
environment a plus.
Experience working on multiple projects and comfort meeting aggressive
deadlines in a fast paced environment
Excellent skills in written/oral communications
Create and maintain detailed systems documentation and post to shares for
team information sharing
