Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Produce and implement Ansible playbooks, Python scripts, and bash shell scripts for the purposes of automating Java
application deployments, database configurations, and system & middleware configuration management.
Work closely with Java developers to create a continuous integration pipeline focused on automation.
Work closely with Database administrators to standardize deployable for automated deployments.
Transform Bamboo deployments into consistent repeatable Ansible playbooks.
Work to develop, document, and implement solutions in a consistent, repeatable manner.
Develop and maintain detailed, shared technical process and procedure documentation.
Participate in system wide team to standardize automated deployments of applications from development to production.
Handle other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Proficient in Ansible, Bamboo, Maven, Websphere, Weblogic and Unix.
7-10 years relevant experience.
Proficient with configuration of complex infrastructure applications and middleware, Java application servers and webservers.
Excellent documentation skills leveraging wiki team collaboration platforms.
Excellent presentation skills.
Creative problem-solving skills.
Excellent relationship management skills.
Basic understating of the function of Java application development, including source code repositories, source code builds, and application deployment. Java application development experience is a plus.
Basic knowledge of relational and multidimensional database management systems, such as Oracle RDBMS, MySQL and PostgreSQL.
