Responsible for all aspects of Datastage/WebSphere Application Server including installation, design, configuration, administration and day-to-day management.
Design, develop, and deliver infrastructure for internet and intranet applications using middleware technologies.
Perform script-based automation of day-to-day business activities including network maintenance events, patching events, resiliency events, server and application deployments
Partner closely with application developers to support web sites, portals, or applications hosted on servers
Strong experience in Apache Webserver/IBM HTTP Server as well as an understanding of Domain Name Server (DNS) management for creating virtual servers for sites and applications.
Require expertise in operating systems; usually Linux, but Unix (AIX, HPUX, Solaris) can substitute.
Unix command prompt and scripting skills are important as configuring products is heavily based on scripting as opposed to graphical user interfaces.
Required:
SME level hands on experience in administration of middleware product suites(WebSphere Application Server, Portal Server, Client, Apache, Tomcat
Experience creating scripts (shell, Jython, Jacl and Python)
Install, upgrade and patching experience with IBM IIS/Data Stage
Administration experience with IIS Suite tools - Information Analyzer (IA), Business Glossary (BG) and Metadata Work Bench (MWB)
Experience with tuning ETL repository and system for performance improvements
IIS Platform configuration changes, Software upgrades, new functionality implementations
Experience with the IBM IIS command line utilities like dsjob, istools, ISA Lite, etc.
Expertise in operating systems; Linux is preferred, but Unix (AIX, HPUX, Solaris) can substitute.
Knowledge of JAVA,J2EE,JMS, Spring, Webservices(SOAP,REST etc and other web technologies.
