Job Description :
Database Management, Disaster Recovery and Performance tuning and monitoring.

Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Database Manager
1. Manages the administration of an organization''s database. Analyzes the organization''s database needs and develops a long-term strategy for data storage.
2. Oversees the design, implementation, and maintenance of the systems that manage an internal database. Works closely with the Infrastructure Team to forecast and plan for hardware capacity needs on a multi-year basis.
3. Establishes policies and procedures related to data security and integrity.
4. Monitors and limits database access as needed.
5. Familiar with a variety of the field''s concepts, practices, and procedures.
6. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
7. Performs a variety of tasks.
8. Leads and directs the work of others.
9. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

B. Database Engineer
1. Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company database.
2. Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes.
3. Resolves database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues.
4. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
5. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
6. Performs a variety of tasks.
7. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor''s degree in area of specialty preferred.
2. Five years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And Other Key Success Factors:
1. Experienced and skilled in Relational Database Management Systems, with a concentration in Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and higher. Experience in Oracle database systems is desirable but not a requirement.
2. Experience and skilled in NoSQL/MongoDB and DB DevOps/Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment.
3. Experienced and skilled in ANSI SQL & Microsoft T-SQL code writing, and able to troubleshoot, debug, and tune existing T-SQL code.
4. Experienced and skilled in utilizing performance monitoring tools and metrics to properly size and optimize database platforms for current and future forecast workloads.
Experienced and skilled in designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining database backup and restore plans, disaster recovery, and manual and automated high-availability systems for SQL Server
