Job Description :
Oracle Applications Database Administrator to support a development, test, and production instances of Oracle E-Business Suite.
Provides database and WebLogic administration, maintenance, version management, and overall technical support for Oracle databases, tools, environments, WebLogic, and Oracle E-Business Suite Applications (which includes Human Resources, Financials, Grants, iProcurement, Project Billing for Project Costing, Project Costing, Time and Labor, and Purchasing Serves as the lead for and ensures the success of major projects related to Oracle database and WebLogic management, enhancements, capacity planning, performance tuning, patching, and developer support, and application versioning of custom code, patches, and standard releases. Establishes best practices, policies, and procedures. Prepares for audits, responds to requests for information, and initiates actions to address issues or findings. Develops and maintains system documentation, conducts research and determines needs. Ensures system security and integrity, conducts training as needed, and works on projects as directed.
Significant experience with AD utilities, backup/restoration. Experience with installing, upgrading, patching, cloning E-Business Suite applications/databases. Able to identify and analyze issues, and utilize the Oracle service request processes.
Extensive experience managing E-Business Suite applications in a Linux environment.
Work is performed at 703 E. Main St, Richmond VA, 23219 at 40 hours per week. Work is normally performed during regular business hours. There are exceptions where patching, version upgrades, and production issues are typically handled during off hours. The off hour work typically is about 8 hours per month.
