Job Description :
The Database Administrator primary responsibilities for standard maintenance and administration of Oracle and SQL databases for DCF development applications and COTS applications. The DBA will collaborate with programmers and analysts to implement and validate changes to database schemas and supporting environments. The DBA should have experience with Oracle Database management tools such as OEM, SQL Plus, and SQL developer; Microsoft SQL Server management tools such as Management Studio, Red Hat SQL Tools. The primary responsibility will be the operational support of the existing databases. This role requires interaction with a cross-functional team of technology and business professionals including infrastructure, application development, business partners, and 3rd party subject matter experts to ensure that solutions are planned, developed, deployed, and maintained in accordance with the Department of Children and Family’s security, policies and business requirements.
Varieties of tasks are performed on a daily basis; so a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Experience with enterprise class applications with mission critical functionality which contain sensitive and or regulatory information such as IRS Pub 1075 and PII is highly recommended. Experience with meeting government regulations on security, data encryption as defined by the regulations is recommended.
Candidates that have ERWin Data Model knowledge, Informatica Sources/Targets are a plus.

Recommended skills, abilities and certifications:
Certified as an Oracle DBA or SQL DBA (preferred)
BS in computer science or related engineering field (preferred)
5+ or more years DBA work experience (preferred)
Rotating 24x7 on call will be required.
