Role: Database Administrator III
Location: Detroit, MI
Duration: 6-12 months
Engagement Description:
- A brief description of the project or initiative.
Include:
- Installation and administration of Oracle Enterprise Database Server on Red Hat Linux servers
- Various projects to install and configure Oracle as well as deploy application code and data updates
- This is not a developer or analyst position. The resource will be installing Oracle itself and needs expert Linux/Unix skills to deliver Oracle Database Management Systems to customers of the department who are application developers and application owners.

Include:
- 5 years or Oracle Database Management Installation and Administration Experience in a Linux/Unix environment.
- 3 years of Oracle RAC and Oracle Partitioning experience.
- 2 years of experience with Oracle DBMS integration with Active Directory and/or LDAP
Required Skills/Experience:
The rest of the required skills/experience.
Include:
- Oracle DBA with experience on Oracle 12c or later.
- Oracle 12c RAC experience
- Experience with Oracle Streams, Data Guard, Oracle Unified Directory Services.
- Experience on DB2-LUW database administration activities.
- Significant experience in identifying and resolving SQL performance issues through tuning
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Optional but preferred skills/experience.
Include:
- MongDB NoSQL database administration.
- Database administration experience of SQL Server 2016 and above are preferred.
- At least five years of experience in SQL and PL/SQL coding.
- TSQL, SSIS packages , DB2-LUW applications and MongoDB applications
Education/Certifications:
Include:
- Bachelor’s degree. If no degree, 8 years of experience verse required 5 will be considered.
