Oracle System/Application Database Administrator
We are looking for a self-motivated System/Application Database Administrator. An Oracle System/Application Database Administrator is responsible for database creation and design, data analysis and database management. Oracle System/Application Database Administrators typically are involved in maintenance, enhancement, designing of data dictionaries, physical and logical database models, and performance tuning. Oracle System/Application Database Administrators have a wide range of skills and knowledge of the utilities and tools used for data manipulation, data modeling, programming and data storage management to support an application team. Oracle System/Application Database Administrators have experience upgrading databases from version x to version y and application of database patches. Oracle System/Database Administrators are familiar with vendor support calls and escalation procedures. Oracle System/Application Database Administrators have experience with system monitoring and alerting techniques as well as database level application troubleshooting.

Years of Experience: 5 to 7 years
Education: 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study
Role Description:
All roles specified in DBA2 plus the following:
Highly skilled at database design, modeling, installation, data conversions and database upgrades.
Responsible for database backup and recovery procedures, access security and database integrity, physical data storage design and data storage management.
Expertise in specific Database Management Systems.
Knowledge of various Database Management System products.
Knowledge of database programming, program trouble shooting and program performance tuning
Knowledge of database query performance tuning
Provide status of work to Project Team Lead.
Engage in ongoing process improvement.
