Position: Data Warehouse Tech Lead
Location: Bakersfield, CA
Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Description:
Client is interested in hiring a Data warehousing Consultant/Technical Lead/DBA, who is having extensive experience in Enterprise Data Warehouse Administration, Development, Testing and Support activities especially in Teradata Platform
Responsibilities
Work with cross-section of internal IT organizations, including DBA''s, Data Architects, System Architects/Analysts, Developers, Testers and the Management Team.
Participate in multiple IT projects as the DW Technical consultant from Inception to Maintenance and Support Phases of EDW Platform
Develop DW Standards for Enterprise including Database, ETL and Reporting Standards to be used in development projects on DW Platform
Develop/Contribute to Physical Data Modeling of Teradata Projects including Dimensional Modeling and 3rd Normal Form Modeling
Develop/Contribute to ETL Architecture and design on DataStage
Provide estimates including effort, cost and resource estimates for Database activities.
Participate as Subject Matter Expert (SME) as required for design reviews and technology and tool selection.
Perform database, application and system architecture design.
Develop database, ETL design documentation such as data decompositions and data flow diagrams.
Contribute to IT projects that requires expertise on Teradata Platform.
Work independently without significant supervision and must be a team player with a results driven attitude.
Required Experience
5+ years of experience working as a Data warehousing Lead/Architect/DBA using Teradata and DataStage
Must have worked on a large scale data warehouse/ database Implementation on Teradata Platform
Must have experience working with Teradata Tools and Utilities
Ability to create and maintain positive and professional business relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
Proven diagnostic problem solving and solution development capabilities required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Good to have
Teradata Certification
Experience on Teradata 15 or above
Knowledge and/or experience on Micro strategy
