Job Description :
Deliverables:
Data mart design and development for BI applications related to transit reporting and analysis in the areas of Rail Reliability, COO Dashboard, Metro Access, Safety, Customer Service, and others.
Deliverables including but not limited to:
* Data sourcing and algorithm requirements, Relational and dimensional data models, Metadata documentation and mappings, ETL designs and script
* Full lifecycle documentation as required by program standards
Preferred skills and experience:
* At least 10 years of experience designing and developing ETL and data models in data warehouse/data mart environments.
* At least 8 years of experience working in cross-database environments, especially Oracle and SQL Server.
* At least 3 years of experience using SSIS for end to end ETL development for BI applications.
* At least 8 years of experience analyzing transactional db schemas to design Star and Snowflake data models for BI requirements.
* At least 8 years of experience developing in PL/SQL; Significant SQL Server development experience.
* Extensive experience using transformations.
* Experience working with xml files as a data source.
* Experience with transit data types such as fare transactions.
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate with analysts, SMEs, and report developers on full lifecycle BI projects.
