Job Description
· Acts as a bridge between between architects, analysts, developers, system administrators, compliance and Data Governance.
· Will be the owner and accountable for all solution/design deliverables and any architecture/technical debt for a
project
· Will be the single point of contact for all architecture/design related queries or creation of architecture/ design
patterns and standards on a project
Responsibilities
· Define, socialize, implement, and drive adoption and adherence to solution/data design on architecture/design patterns.
· Represent ODMS architecture team in ODMS architecture review board meeting to review Intake request and determine if a request needs architecture/design reviews.
· Understands and applies modern architecture concepts, and balances these with practicality, delivery, and
business needs.
· Has relevant domain knowledge and can understand business requests.
· Ensures "just enough” architecture built at a time. The full architecture will emerge through delivery rather than
heavy up-front architecture.
· Applies Architectural Vision defined by Enterprise Architects to the solution. Coordinates heavily with technical
leads on designs and implementation to keep architecture standards and quality.
· Effectively collaborate with Data Governance on metadata management, data modeling, data profiling, data
lineage, and data quality.
· Ensure data access and security are established and adhered to by compliance standards.
· Regularly involved with prototyping and POC of new capabilities to prove out viability and practicality.
· Identifies and manages technical debt.
· Coach, mentor, and train developers on data design standards and patterns
· Effectively collaborate with Enterprise, Solution, and Information architects on architectural solutions,
environments, and tools
· Data analysis and data profiling of entities, attributes, keys, and cardinality
· Ensure data access and security are established and adhered to by compliance standards
Requirements / Qualifications
12+ years' experience in IT
5+ years' experience in Health Care domain
3+ years' experience Solution Architecture/Designer experience is a must
Development experience in all or combination of SQL Server, Teradata and Informatica.
Experience in multiple source data integration project is a value add
Experience in Big Data(Hadoop) is a value add
