Role: Data Scientist
Client: Leading marketplace Company
Location: San Jose, CA
Job Type: Full Time/Permanent

Experience requirement
5-7 years total Analytics experience with 3+ years of experience in Data Science Techniques (Classification, Prediction, Machine Learning, Unsupervised Clustering) and excellent working knowledge of R
Creative thinker who knows how to create real-world analytical products
Proven experience with large data sets and related technologies, e.g., Hadoop, Pig, Spark. Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL is required
Good communication skills, ability to work with large cross-functional teams of technical and non-technical members
A data miner. Be able to extract patterns from large sets of data in order to deliver business insights from data
Exposure to ecommerce / Marketplace knowledge and number-heavy areas such as Operations, Marketing, Finance etc. will be preferred

Education: Math/Statistics graduate, Masters preferred
