Position Description:
Ford Motor Company''s Global Data, Insight, and Analytics (GDIA) organization is looking for motivated and talented individuals with a background in Analytics specifically aimed at Product Development. This is an opportunity to apply the latest tools and methods in Big Data, Data Science, and Statistics to a variety product development and business problems at Ford. Recent projects have led to the development of applications in the areas of product strategy (e.g. marketing and product development), 3rd party assessments of our products, and failure mode avoidance. The successful candidate will perform analytic work as a member of the Advanced Operational Analytics team in GDIA and develop models to support activities such as product development, brand mapping, quality, satisfaction, and agency compliance as well as communicate results clearly and concisely. ¿ Translate high-level ideas into well-defined mathematical problems ¿ Understand and apply predictive modeling to develop complete analytic solutions using algorithmic or parametric approaches including optimization as well as develop end-user interfaces and visualization tools ¿ Find or create (i.e. designed experiments) and interpret rich data sources, manage large amounts of data, merge data sources, and ensure consistency of datasets ¿ Design and maintain systems that demonstrate prediction/forecasting capability

Skills Required:

Be able to perform regression analyses (all types, that is, algorithmic and traditional), be able to analyze data using Minitab, R, SAS, and/or Python; summarize and communicate results clearly and concisely,

Education Required:

BS in Analytics OR MS/PhD in either statistics, mathematics, or computer science.
