We are looking for a Data/QA Analyst to work in the IT department and participate in development of and support our flagship product, Benefit Driven.
The Data/QA Analyst uses business and technical knowledge to analyse existing data and to plan, develop, execute, and maintain test strategies with the objective of early detection of defects that impact customers, in the assigned feature or product. The Data/QA Analyst validates security, functionality, stability, usability, and performance of the system and brings customer perspective into the software development process to ensure product goals are met.
Responsibilities:
Analyzes existing data and information maintenance processes and develops suggestions for data quality improvements.
Creates plans to test features, including functional tests, performance tests, install tests, and security tests.
Writes test scripts that increase our automation coverage.
Manually executes test plans to find defects in features or products. Isolates and confirms defects and works with the development to prioritize defects and fix them.
Writes test cases to test individual functionality or the entire program.
Participates in team meetings throughout the product development life cycle.
Uses knowledge of product and users to provide feedback to Product Management regarding severity and customer impact of defects on report in order to prioritize for fix.
Requirements:
3 years’ experience in a similar role
Knowledge of SQL
Experience in web app and/or database testing
Testing skills and aptitudes for technical tasks
Organized, self-sufficient
Accuracy and attention to detail
Proactive, creative
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS
Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving problems
