Data Engineer
Immediate and exciting opportunity located in Columbus, Ohio.
This is a 6 month, open ended contract opportunity with long term potential.

The Data Engineer will work within a data warehouse environment to help optimize supply chain initiatives as well as handle day to day support requests.
This position will work cross functionally with multiple business units to help achieve project objectives and delivery.

Responsibilities of Data Engineer:
Design, develop, and implement complex data solutions
Responsible for data profiling, analysis, and extraction of data
Work with technical leads and other teams to ensure business solutions
Support end user data requests, questions, and complex data issues utilizing front end reporting solutions
Provide on call support for data integrations and reporting systems
Develop and support complex SQL and database views in a large data warehouse environment
Requirements for Data Engineer:
5+ years’ experience with data warehousing and BI Technologies including Netezza and DataStage (ETL)
Experience with configuration in a NiFi environment and how it functions across multiple systems
Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall software development methodologies and tools
Understanding of data architecture to build table structures and manipulate data
Skilled in SQL and Netezza, and proven analytical abilities
Experience with Hadoop and related tools is preferred
