Data Lead Consultant
Location: Miami, FL
Duration: 12+ months contract
Interview Process: Phone/Skype/possible F2F
Must have Cruise Line Experience
1. Data Lead with skills in Data Modeling, Database Design, Data
Integration Design, Master Data Management, Data Governance, and SOA Design
2. Assists in defining the current state architecture including
inventory and assessment/classification of existing data stores and oversees
documenting of Source To Target Mapping & Transformation Specifications
required for initial production data loads and inbound/outbound application
interfaces to external systems.
3. Lead offshore development team that will build and deploy initial
production data loads and inbound/outbound application interfaces
4. Design and develop the architecture and standards for an
application database, representing an Operational Data Store, which will
align with the business objectives and requirements and IT objectives.
5. Define Metadata Management best practices applicable to client
requirements and standards for:
a. Data Model Approach
b. Data Distribution
c. Data Integration
d. Data Access
e. Capacity Planning
f. Master Data Management
6. Hands on data modeling - Use CA ERwin Data Modeler tool to create
/ update / review logical and Oracle physical data models
7. Build, deploy, and maintain DDL in all test database environments
including authorities securing access of database objects to relevant
development personnel.
8. Provide data model and database design knowledge transfer to
onshore and offshore application development team leads
9. Provide Data Governance guidance to the business team in support
of production data assembly.
Basic Qualifications:
1. Minimum 7+ years Data Technology experience to include Enterprise
Data Management (for example, Data Modeling, Master Data Management, Meta
Data Management, Data Architecture, Data Warehouse) and 10+ years IT
industry experience
2. 3-5 years technical leadership and/or management of ODS and Data
Warehouse systems
3. Minimum of a bachelor''s degree
4. 3+ years developing data models and Oracle physical database
designs in CA Erwin Data Modeler
5. Development DBA experience in Oracle 11g/12c (DDL generation and
deployment, Oracle SQL and PL/SQL) and basic working knowledge of SQL Server
2008 T-SQL
6. Knowledge of Pentaho Data Integration toolset
7. Ideal business acumen: experience with Timeshare inventory and
revenue management applications and analytical reporting systems and/or the
functional equivalent in Hotel Management
