The EDA team is looking for a Data Engineer with Hadoop skills to help advance our goals to build a world class data-driven enterprise.
The Data Engineer will be primarily responsible for:
Creating and maintaining data streams and processes within the Hadoop and EDW platforms
Profile and analyze various data sources
Design and implement data ingestion strategies, working with business analysts, architects and engineers across the enterprise
Address performance and data quality issues
Help troubleshoot and support data structures and processes
What skills and experience are needed?
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field or equivalent experience
Overall 3-4 years IT experience and 1-2 years with Hadoop and related technologies like Hive, Yarn, Map/Reduce, Kafka, etc.
Well versed in SQL and database concepts
Experience with programming/scripting using Java, Bash, Python or Perl
Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate with business as well as technical people
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment as well as ability to work on multiple initiatives independently
Passion for data
