Position : Data Engineer

Job Responsibilities:
Serve as the lead resource responsible for the overall design and development of applications and systems.
Define requirements and create architectural specifications.
Provide thought leadership to client and internal stakeholders.
Serve as the subject matter expert in all phases of design and development; mentor team members as needed.
Help ensure projects are delivered successfully, on-time, and within budget
Influence multiple teams to deliver reporting needs
Lead and guide design approach as needed for different groups to ensure timely deliverables
Sort out technical challenges by working with cross-functional teams as required
Skills and Experience Required:
Hadoop experience (Hive, sqoop and other supporting tools)
Strong technical background (Java, Spring frameworks, Pivotal Cloud Foundry)
Experience with business analytics and reporting tools
Technical documentation skills and experience with reporting tools
Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
