Job Description:
On Location Experiences is seeking a Data Conversion Specialist for a 2 year project supporting our Accounting team with an Oracle Cloud implementation across all of our entities.
This role will work primarily with the internal project team and will have limited interaction with the outside consulting teams. The Data Conversion Specialist must be able to analyze data in our legacy format and construct a workflow that properly outlines a conversion process and transforms the data to meet our new accounting system requirements. This role will map data elements, remove duplicates and load data into templates for the bulk upload of data.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise in development and execution of data extraction, transformation, and execution of load programs
Perform data corrections through analyzing data for errors and formulating corrective procedures
Identify, clarify and resolve issues and risks, escalating them as needed; assist with issue resolution
Design, develop and execute tests that confirm the success of the data conversion process
Validate/reconcile converted data
Work with data owners to verify and protect accuracy, integrity and security of data
Deliver results within required timeframes
Multi-task on key project deliverables
Follow basic testing scripts and work with the project team during user acceptance testing
Assist in development and maintenance of a Data Conversion Plan
Perform assigned data conversion services in accordance with the Data Conversion Plan
Analyze data sets and sources and provide alternatives to archiving data access
Assist development teams in the appropriate selection, use, and documentation of technical frameworks,
platforms, and design patterns.
Requirements:
Oracle Cloud experience is preferred
Basic accounting understanding required
Strong SQL and Excel skills required
Experience with data extraction and strong data analytical skills required
Ability to execute high quality, consistent, on-time results, with a keen attention to detail and professional work
demeanor
Detail oriented is a must as this role will be validating converted data
Strong verbal and written communication skills needed with the ability to work with all levels of management and
leadership
Effective oral and written communications skills. Ability to elicit and communicate technical and non-technical
information in a clear and concise manner
