Position: Data Architect
Location: Redmond, WA
Duration : Fulltime / Contract
Responsibilities:
Drive the Platform Architecture and Design
Help with defining the overall Data Platform Architecture
Own the design/architecture of individual components within the Platform and platform as a whole
Mentor engineers and ensure engineering quality
Represent company''s Data Platform engineering group in different forums
Be an active participant in the overall architecture community within engineering
Qualifications:
Minimum 10+ experience Enterprise Architect and Data Architecting
Minimum of 4+ years of experience in Azure based cloud Architecture
Working experience in data offerings, configuration and implementations
Experience and understanding of security requirements for hybrid cloud implementations and integrating with existing security to migrate data to the cloud
Knowledge of Azure and AWS cloud components
Experience with COSMOS / Azure COSMOS DB
Deep understanding of data stacks, Microsoft preferred, and Open Source preferred
Expert on data architecting on Azure data platform and Microsoft SQL Server suite
knowledge of using Relational Stores, Column Stores, Graph Stores Object Stores and Warehouses
Experience in assessing applications, customer requirements, and readiness for cloud adoption
Experience in defining cloud strategy roadmaps for large enterprises
Experience in using agile methodologies in implementing solutions
Experience in several of the following areas: infrastructure solutions, cloud technologies, networking, platform migration and enterprise solutions
Experience in operations management, systems security, databases and mobility considerations
Should be able to recommend with highest accuracy of the using azure data offerings from Microsoft based on project requirement
Experience with microservices architectures and constituent technologies is required along with implementation knowledge of standard logging, monitoring and management components
Experience with the Serverless frameworks
Experience with Event Driven Architectures (Near-Real-Time) and constituent technologies and patterns
Experience as a practitioner, scoping and leading technology solution projects
Experience with containerization and container platforms is a plus
Recognized Training and Certifications in relevant subject areas is a plus
