Job Description :
This data analytics specialist will develop and implement statistical routines across multiple data sources. Create and maintain user interfaces to facilitate user-driven analysis and reports.
Job Functions/Responsibilities
Understands principles of analytics within machine learning algorithms
Researches and develops predictive analysis techniques using statistical-based modeling
Analyzes large data sets generated by customer warranty, field-test vehicles, and laboratory tests
Evaluate off-the-shelf applications and write programs/scripts to automate data analysis
Optimizes analysis code to minimize processing time and required user intervention
Proactively recommends data-collection and analysis improvements
Creates reports and presents findings to management
Qualifications & Skills
BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or other relevant field
3-5 years of relevant experience
Experience in high-level programming to analyze test data, preferably in MATLAB, R, Python, or .NET
Visual Studio, Excel, Access, SQL, C# experience desirable
Familiarity with class 8 vehicles and diesel engines is a plus
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to summarize technical issues and communicate effectively
Self-directed, excellent analysis and technical judgment required
Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and presentation
