POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility of the Data Analyst/Business Intelligence Visualization Developer is to support the business in all their dashboard and analytics needs and provide a clear mechanism for self-service reporting. This role is also responsible for administration of the tools and technologies related to Business Intelligence from a platform and solution perspective. Factor in operational simplicity, resiliency, and efficiency into recommendations. The Business Intelligence Visualization Developer is a “hands on” technologist and is responsible for outlining the architecture as well as building visual analytics solutions.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor''s degree from four-year college or
University in Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics required
Master’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Analytics or related area of study preferred
6 years additional directly related work experience may be substituted for the required education.
EXPERIENCE:
3 years of Senior Business Intelligence level role in Analytics, Business Intelligence or
Dashboards experience
2 years of experience Architect level role in Database Administration
2 years in Engineer/Analyst level role in Analytics, Business Intelligence or Data Warehouse
Management, ETL
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS:
Power BI, SSIS, SSRS
SKILLS:
Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Word
Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
Business Intelligence Knowledge: SQL, Power BI, Tableau
Windows/Linux Server environment

JOB DUTIES:
Develop and design visual Business Intelligence solutions, including Developing dashboards in
Power BI for financial analytics based on SAP and non-SAP sources and developing dashboards for Train Operations such as Train Delays, Operating Map.
Design and architect data integration process needed for business visualizations. Deliver key
business metrics and their related analytics and develop logical data flow maps required for business analytics.
Define optimum joins between tables based on the functional requirement.
Design data models and data architecture. Integrate various datasets and build data models for visualization in Power BI or using data gateways. Develop quick prototype using local datasets while working in parallel with data integration team for data automation.
Test analytics solutions with in-place testing of data and its integration. Perform data validation during data automation process and write test scripts and record defects.
