Required Skills :
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience interpreting data and providing solutions
• 5+ years of experience in data extraction and management using SAS
• 1+ years of professional experience writing advanced programming in SQL (Stored Procedures, Scripts)


Additional Skills :
• Knowledge of STARS/HEDIS Quality Care Gaps
• Experience with SAS.
• Knowledge of UHG claim data across (E&I, M&R and C&S)
• Working knowledge of any of the following internal systems: ICUE, CareOne, V360, NDB, CDB, TOPS, COSMOS, CSP Facets, or Linx

The IT Data Warehouse Analyst role has direct interaction with business partners across UHC Commercial, Medicare, and the Medicaid lines of business. This position will also work with business operations, business analysts, and data analysts to understand current process, and business requirements in order to support the creation and enhancements of system solutions and reports used to drive medical cost savings. You must maintain a high degree of accuracy and technical competence; possess superior attention to detail, and exhibit excellent analysis skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Gather and analyze data in support of business requests, proposed projects, and system requirements
• Identify and analyze applicable source data (e.g. internal/external data feeds, systems, database, ''sources of truth'')
• Identify, develop and document testing strategies and success factors
• Analyze data gathered and design potential solutions for integration
• Collaborate with business partners to ensure data standardization (e.g., enterprise standards)
• Identify, collect and communicate information on issues related to the system, reports, or procedures, and manage resolution to the issues
• Check quality of program, reports, and findings before delivery
• Support, recommend and document testing strategies and success factors for testing
• Contribute with identifying and investigating new data warehousing strategies to meet emerging business needs
• Contribute with reviews, analysis and creation of project estimates, timelines, dependencies and deliverables to ensure achievement of project goals
• Support end user tool deployment, provisioning of data, and end users access setup and maintenance
• Ensure compliance with enterprise Information Management standards and processes (e.g., data release governance, security, archiving, data quality, etc and provide feedback as appropriate
• Work with minimal guidance; seek guidance on only the most complex tasks.

Required Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience interpreting data and providing solutions
• 5+ years of experience in data extraction and management using SAS
• 1+ years of professional experience writing advanced programming in SQL (Stored Procedures, Scripts)
• Professional experience solving moderately complex problems and / or conducting moderately complex analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor''s Degree
• UnitedHealth Group or subsidiary work experience
• Understanding healthcare insurance industry (preferably clinical)
• Some Production Operations experience
• Some Quality Assurance and Testing experience
• Knowledge of ACOs and population health management methods
• Knowledge of STARS/HEDIS Quality Care Gaps
• Experience with SAS.
• Knowledge of UHG claim data across (E&I, M&R and C&S)
