Data Analyst

Manage tasks associated with stakeholder communication, data analysis and documentation• Perform analysis for documenting detail data lineage (source to target)• Document data flows• Become proficient in use of the standard tools determined by the Data Program• Understand Risk Reports and provide data domain expertise within report content• Work within the “POD” allocating necessary time attending daily meetings, status report development, issue escalations, etc.• Proficient in describing details on Risk Reporting schedule process flows, data flows, aggregation routines (etc related to assignments for the current state analysis process• May be cross-trained and assigned to multiple subject and risk areas in support of detail current state analysis activities • Work with Analysts and ISA/CDO to identify gaps in business process, controls and data flows• Specify business requirements for future state “how to” work • Identify data control (new) requirements. IE. Reconciliations and validations. Identify data thresholds, as an example. This is part of new business requirements and may need to work with CDO and ISA representatives• Bridge communication to entities that we currently do not work with• Act as an escalation point for any data analysis related issues

Structured data analysis and data requirements development experience is required. Core responsibility will be to trace data lineage from report line item to primary source systems• Core responsibility will be to document data and business process flows• Very beneficial to have knowledge and experience performing business /data analysis with Commercial lending data (C&I and CRE loans)• Very beneficial to have knowledge and experience in business or data analysis with Operational Risk data (Third Party Risk Mgmt., Operational Loss, Fraud) Liquidity, Interest Rate, Market Risk and Compliance• Beneficial to have worked within a financial institution (preference banking) organization• Beneficial to have experience in working within teams that have multiple representation, such as within agile approach structures• Beneficial to have experience working with automated requirement documentation tools (Analytix and CaseWise specifically would be strongly beneficial)• Preference is West Coast hire in order to have closer proximity to the larger team• Preference is to be an onshore resource• Would not overlook any candidate with essential experience and skills• BCBS 239 Controls implementation experience preferred
