Role: Data Analyst
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Role & responsibilities:
Overall responsibilities include conducting hands-on Data, Analytics and Reporting within the US Retail Fund Sales business as follows:
Analysis of daily issues to assure consistent processing of sales data feeds.
Working with business and technology teams to develop solutions that improve operational aspects of sales data management and maintenance function.
Working with business and technology teams to maintain and manage daily Salesforce CRM processes, including Contact, Account and other CRM maintenance processes.
Work with the Data Management leadership team to develop and implement improved and optimised controls around data processing procedures
Work with outside vendors to import data feeds and verify feed quality.
Reconcile unallocated data transactions to ensure proper sales allocation
Provide analysis to identify the critical path of activities required to successfully implement quantifiable improvements in data governance processes

Daily responsibilities will include but not limited to :
Lead or assist in projects related to data enhancement initiatives
Interact regularly with SysOp and developers to enhance systems and improve processes surrounding data management
Interact with business and technology counterparts to provide status and updates on sales data-related processing issues
Manage a daily reconciliation process surrounding multiple data points (UNR report) and conduct causal analysis on repeated data issues. Find ways to make this process more effective.
Manage manual external feeds for processing (Managed Acct process, DCIO feeds)
Maintain Fund and Tran Code/Suffix tables across multiple platforms
Serve as the department point of contact for F/O/R updates (Rep moves/mergers, trade re-assignments)
Troubleshoot and rectify data discrepancies across multiple data platforms (SC/BOS/CRM)
Validate monthly AUM
Perform ad-hoc data reporting that supports multiple areas of the firm (extract, connect, summarize data points from various tables independently)

Experience / Qualifications and Skills:
At least 8+ years’ experience in a similar role
Thorough understanding of Data Analytics, Data Governance, Data Lifecycles and best practices
Knowledge of Salesforce CRM is preferred.
Strong knowledge of SQL
Familiarity with regulatory requirements in connection with Data Governance and Data Quality
Experience in Mutual Fund Distribution systems
Experience building and maintaining data management control environments
Possess good analytic / problem solving skills
Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communications skills
Ability to work independently as well as within a team
Strong and effective communicator both written and orally
Ability to construct and present concise and well informed reporting and analysis documents for senior stakeholders
Previous exposure to international operating models highly desirable
