Position Overview

The Data Analyst II position in our Investments and Capital Markets
division is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing
processes for Client''s retained mortgage portfolio. This position is also
responsible for the day-to-day management of Client''s distressed assets
within the retained portfolio, comprising the legacy whole loan and
securities portfolios. This position is responsible for developing analytic
tools and investment and risk management strategies for Client''s retained
mortgage portfolio. This includes developing value-added processes to make
investment decisions, analyzing pricing methodologies, developing
disposition strategies, implementing process controls and operational
policies and procedures, and working directly with both internal and
external parties on the buying, selling, securitization and structuring of
whole loans and legacy Agency MBS assets.

Responsibilities Include:

Working closely with single-family, investment portfolio and modeling
areas on all matters related to securitization and valuation of distressed
whole loans; performing and non-performing.
Producing analytics to help improve understanding and design of
liquidation strategies for distresses asset portfolio.

Basic Requirements

Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience.
Bachelor''s degree in quantitative fields
Good problem solving skill.
Experience in SAS and SQL, and ability to learn to use other analytical
software package.

Experience in the following areas:
- Handling large amount of mortgage and credit risk data
- Possessing a high level of personal ownership or results,
self-motivation, and attention to detail
- Working in a dynamic and fast paced market environment with minimal
guidance.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with mortgage loan data
Knowledge of mortgage credit risk analytics, mortgage securitization and
structuring
Experience in mortgage valuation models
Quickly framing analytical questions, and working independently to
produce final high quality deliverables and effectively communicating the
results
Ability to think outside of the box
Ability and willingness to learn and use new programming language,
applications and data source to deliver analytical result with minimal
coaching
Strong team player
