Description:
The candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills and a high level of analytical aptitude. Additionally, they must excel in a high pressure environment and be able to take-on diverse responsibilities across all activities performed within the Insurance Data Operations team and broader organization.
Key responsibilities will include:
Work with Third Party Administrators (TPAs) and internal parties to continue to build the data infrastructure. Activities include developing strategies to support business needs of internal business units leveraging the data warehouse and associated tools, specification and data design, testing, and data governance
Leveraging internal data infrastructure to, create and support control processes, data enhancement initiatives, management reporting, and control implementation
Participate in department-wide initiatives aimed at continuous process and infrastructure improvement
Collaborate with GA business units including IT, Finance and Legal/Compliance teams, to execute on strategic projects and initiatives
Desired Attributes and Characteristics:
5+ years in a business and/or systems analyst role leveraging data
Life and/or annuity insurance experience
Strong analytical and problem solving skill set
Eagerness to learn and self-motivated to succeed
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work in a fast paced, high pressure, and dynamic team environment
Ability to multi-task multiple responsibilities including medium to large size projects
Ambition and desire to succeed by delivering quality and effective results
Positive attitude even when faced with difficult obstacles, issues or challenges
Technical Requirements:
Undergraduate degree required
Data management tools (e.g. Business Objects, Tableau, Aqua Data Studio, etc
SQL experience a plus
Ability to build complex and presentable reporting leveraging data tools
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel & Word (VBA and Visio experience a plus)
