Description:
Looking for an Analyst in Data Management department who will use technical and analytical skills to analyze, work with, transform and link internal and external data in both standard and non-standard formats to provide relevant insights and up to date information to support decision-making and the effective working.
Candidate will be pulling the data and slice & dicing the data. They will be working with an oracle database. Manager is not looking for a DBA.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor''s degree in a business, Information Technology, Marketing, Engineering, or related discipline, and up to 2 years of related experience, or equivalent work experience.
Looking for a candidate with 2-5 years of experience.
Technical proficiency with Relational Databases theory and design (Oracle) – optimization of queries and throughputs.
Technical proficiency with design and query optimization – understanding of normalization/denormalization techniques.
Technical proficiency in data analysis & extraction tools (SAS, PL/SQL or similar tools) across multiple tables and relationships.
Technical proficiency and experience (2+ years) using SAS is preferred.
Experienced SQL user (2+ years) is a must.
Experienced with querying relational databases.
Experienced working with scheduling tools to productionize queries.
Ability to be a technological self-starter – analyze a business problem and conceive a solution based on current data/tool sets, or new/data tools sets. Communicate with operating areas and translate business needs into data solutions.
Technical proficiency in Python a plus but not required.
Experience building front end applications for client self- serve tools a plus but not required.
