We are looking for a candidate for the position of Data Analyst.
Position: Data Analyst
Duration: Fulltime/Contract
Location: Baltimore, MD
Responsibilities:
· Work closely with the different departments to provide functional users with insights into their business through data analysis and presentation.
· Advise and consult with clients and make recommendations.
· Analyze data using qualitative and quantitative methodologies and techniques.
· Schedule and monitor report delivery on a daily basis.
· Read and interpret data from a variety of sources.
· Utilize tools for extraction, manipulation and value-add to customers as well as create reports and summaries; ability to summarize information verbally and in writing when required.
· Utilize database and/or data analysis technology, as well as enterprise applications and project management tools.
· Use data visualization/presentation software to present information to a variety of audiences including company leadership.
· Support system, unit, and user acceptance report testing to ensure data and reporting quality.
Requirements:
· Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships and establish effective working relationships with all levels of staff is essential.
· Ability to apply quantitative market research skills and experience to produce business insight data and analysis.
· Working knowledge of data and business process flows and corresponding data stores and warehouses.
· Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally at all organizational levels and/or with outside professionals.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving/trouble-shooting, communications, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
· Effective time/resource management and project management skills/capabilities.
· Experienced with Office 365 platforms (e.g., Flow, PowerApps), data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) preferred, but not required.
· Medicare, Marketplace, Healthcare a plus, but not required.
· Bachelor''s degree from a four-year college or university and at least two years related experience; or at least five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Must have experience mining data with Cognos and SAS.
