Agency is seeking an Infrastructure Lead for its new Medicaid Enterprise System (MES) Program
Agency is replacing its existing Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) and transforming to a Medicaid

Enterprise System (MES The Medicaid Enterprise System Program (MES) program will address the business, information, and technical requirements needed to meet Agency needs and Medicaid Information Technology

Architecture (MITA) objectives. MITA is an initiative of CMS to establish national guidelines for technologies and processes that improve program administration for the state Medicaid Enterprise System. During a recently

completed MITA State Self-Assessment, DMAS reviewed its current systems and operations and began identifying what should be changed and adopted going forward.



DMAS is seeking an Infrastructure Lead for its new Medicaid Enterprise System (MES) Program. The Infrastructure Lead will be the resident POC/SME per Infrastructure platforms as the MES Program matriculates from Conceptua

phase through Implementation phase. The MES Infrastructure Lead will have experience with large enterprise system Infrastructure platforms to include network communication/topology, server infrastructure, messaging and

directory services, systems engineering design/implementation, IT security and IT disaster recovery. Additionally, the MES Infrastructure Lead will need to have experience in RFP process participation, vendor selection/management, maneuvering within an IT managed services environment and reporting/delivering presentations.



The MES Infrastructure Lead will have the following minimal qualifications:

-10 to 15 years experience supporting/managing Infrastructure of a large enterprise system with a specialty in at least two of the following arenas. Network Communications/Topology, Server Infrastructure, Messaging and Directory

Services, IT Security, Systems Engineering and IT Disaster Recovery.

-10 to 15 years experience of IT cross-functional awareness and how the IT platforms support the functional business needs.

-7 to 9 years experience bringing new Infrastructure platforms to fruition from concept to implementation. Experience working with/on a RFP Team.

-10 years experience providing IT customer service and IT customer relationship building experience.

-College Degree in IT field and/or at least 12 years of IT experience.

-ITIL Foundations certification is highly preferred.

-Although it is not a requirement, at least 3 years experience supporting or working in a Medicaid services environment.

This position will be required to sing a Non-Disclosure Agreement in relation to the MES Program. This position is targeted to last no more than 2 years.
