ENGINEERING PROGRAM MANAGER

Key Responsibilities
Responsible for all aspects of the program, ensuring the program deliverables are met
Provides strong leadership to the team and is a leader when interfacing with all disciplines
Understands customer expectations and stays on top of customer status
Fully understands all aspects of the program and effectively translates to the team
Perceptive to customer state at all times and initiates recourse when needed
Effectively plans and schedules engineer-to-engineer visits with sales throughout the
development cycle
Rallies the team to respond urgently to critical project issues
Understands and safeguards the business case with respect to cost and schedule
Flexible approach to program management, applying appropriate rigor based on the scope
of the project
Helps team members connect their contribution to the importance and outcome of the
program
Ensures there is an appropriate leader assigned to provide technical direction for the
program
Ensures the team has proper skill sets to achieve the end results
Commitment to the strategic goals and vision of the company
Ensures thoroughness of all product documentation such as requirements, design and test
specifications
Flexible to work with global teams and times zones
Required Experience, Education, Skills and Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree minimum in an Engineering Discipline (Electrical, Software, Mechanical)
6-10 years of experience in program management or other related experience
MBA preferred
Experience with engineering management preferred
PMP certification preferred
Detail oriented and thorough
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong working knowledge of MS Suite including MS Project
Experience in wireless or RFID is a plus
Physical Requirements:
Mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including
a computer.
Ability to use vison to read computer screen and read printed materials.
