The Test Engineer will develop and execute test cases targeting the connectivity components and communication services implemented on our embedded devices. This includes testing these areas from the API/driver level (white box testing) to validating them in end-to-end system level functionality (black box testing
Responsibilities:
As a Test Engineer you will work with the QA and Development teams to define, develop, and execute test cases that will allow us to validate the connectivity components and communication services on our embedded devices
This includes but is not limited to the validation of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth components and their associated services, as well as the interoperability and compliance with connected devices
Where necessary develop, define, or use off the shelf test utilities to accomplish this testing, as well as to ensure we have a complete test coverage of the related requirements
Analyze various components of the CLIENT’s systems, collaborate with various development teams, and use your technical expertise to debug or provide circumstances needed to triage and resolve issues related to our connectivity components and communication services
Qualifications:
4+ years of experience as a Test Engineer with hands-on experience in the development and test of connectivity components and communication services on embedded devices
Hands-on experience with testing Wi-Fi and/or Bluetooth on a embedded device using manual and automated testing is a must
Knowledgeable on Linux OS; middleware, kernel, and device drivers
Excellent understanding of all test fundamentals and the associated use of test management and defect tracking tools is a must
Good understanding of hardware/software interoperability in an embedded system
Expertise with one or more programming languages, such as C, C++, C# is desirable
Scripting knowledge of Python, PowerShell and Shell scripting is desirable
Good troubleshooting skills to root cause complex issues
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Excel in a fast-paced, agile environment supporting multiple projects using a wide variety of technologies
Excellent oral and written communication with effective presentation skills including possessing a dynamic and “can do” attitude
Education:
BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering is preferred
